Holy Trinity Catholic Church and School has served the needs of Catholics and other denominations who choose to share in our mission since 1920. Holy Trinity Catholic School is a two-section school serving over 400 preschool through eighth-grade students in the Beaverdale neighborhood of Des Moines, Iowa.

School Nurse
We are seeking a School Nurse who is committed to providing students with the highest level of care. Our school is looking for an experienced individual with a strong background in public health, medical screening and infection control. We’re especially interested in candidates who are passionate about encouraging healthy habits in students and improving safety in our school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic medical care to students and staff.
- Screen students for conditions that need immediate medical attention.
- Provide information about health-related topics to the school’s faculty and staff.
- Communicate with parents and guardians.
- Dispense medications prescribed by physicians to students.
- Handle emergency situations related to a student’s health (e.g., allergic reactions, abnormal vital signs); file insurance claims as needed.
- Provide first aid as needed.
- Work with a team of medical professionals.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.23 – $30.38 per hour
Experience:
- Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- RN (Preferred)

Substitute Authorization Requirements
- Complete all approved course requirements of Substitute Authorization: Fostering Student Learning as a Substitute.
- Obtain an associate’s degree OR bachelor’s degree OR 60 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited institution OR complete an approved paraeducator certification program and hold a paraeducator certificate.
- Age 20 or older.
- Complete an Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation background check.
- Complete a national criminal history background check.
