Holy Trinity Catholic Church and School has served the needs of Catholics and other denominations who choose to share in our mission since 1920. Holy Trinity Catholic School is a two-section school serving over 400 preschool through eighth-grade students in the Beaverdale neighborhood of Des Moines, Iowa.

Schola

Our Schola director, Fran Paterik has decided to step away from this ministry as of mid-October. Holy Trinity is looking for her replacement.  Working with liturgical team, the Choir Director is responsible for planning, rehearsing and directing choral music for Sunday 10:30am Masses, as well as Holidays and special occasions.

Kids Connection – Extended Care Team Associate

Join this group of dedicated workers who love kids and have fun every day. If you are an optimistic, energetic, and responsible leader, consider joining Kids Connection! Kids Connection is a DHS-licensed childcare program with an inviting, positive, and gratifying atmosphere. We serve children from preschool through age 12 at Holy Trinity Catholic School.

With full-time (with benefits) and part-time opportunities, this team is ideal for college students studying Early or Elementary Education or anyone with childcare experience. Choose what works for you! Team Associates can work before school from 6:20 to 8:20 a.m., during school from 10:40 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with the Preschool Extended Learning classroom, and after school from 3 to 5:45 p.m. Job requirements are the following: 

  • Age 16 or older.
  • Lift at least 15 pounds.
  • Administer first aid and CPR.
  • Provide a health physical.
  • Pass a background check and fingerprint scan.
  • Complete and maintain mandatory DHS training.
  • Be professional with a superior work ethic.

School – Substitute Teachers

Teaching is one of the most rewarding experiences in life! Make a positive difference for children as a substitute teacher this school year. Whether you can sub once a week or once a month, we want you! Anyone with a Bachelor’s degree can obtain a substitute teaching license! Substitute Authorization Requirements

  • Complete all approved course requirements of Substitute Authorization: Fostering Student Learning as a Substitute.
  • Obtain an associate’s degree OR bachelor’s degree OR 60 semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited institution OR complete an approved paraeducator certification program and hold a paraeducator certificate.
  • Age 20 or older.
  • Complete an Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation background check.
  • Complete a national criminal history background check.
